Somatic Sludge is the issues in your tissues. And you can move it!
Have you ever had a hard time pinpointing what you are feeling after a movement class or body session? When you don’t feel good or bad; you just feel worked?
Well I did, and when I wanted to understand what the issues in my tissues were trying to communicate, I came up with the term somatic sludge. Somatic sludge is the heavy, pervasive, wild, unpredictable pattern of sensations that your body can share with you after a massage, yoga, shiatsu or any kind of body output mode.
When you feel movement and change but cannot articulate the emotion or feeling because it is ALL the emotions and feelings pulsing through you??
I can help you move that somatic sludge!

Healing isn't a straight line and self defence is not about fighting.
Healing means you can manage the stress of life without burnout. Personal protection means you know how to keep yourself safe from threats outside of yourself and from threats within yourself.
I judged myself for years by the industry standards of neuro-normative behaviour outputs. But those standards never really worked for me. They may not work for you, either.
I can teach you how to re-introduce safety into your body, fall in love with movement, read threat cues and learn predator behaviour. I want you to know that safety is a right and restoring your nervous system is available.

HEAR FROM DIANE'S COMMUNITY
Diane melds the physical and the spiritual aspects of yoga in a very natural way. The pace and flow of the class suits me perfectly...Diane pushes us to push ourselves, but she does it gently and without judgement. I never feel criticized even when corrected.

Diane is an excellent yoga instructor, she helped and walked me through all the yoga positions, focusing mainly on my back issues and how I could improve my breathing and body posture. The way Diane teaches yoga is so personalized and focuses on each individual's needs. Diane had lots of knowledge and experience, I definitely knew I was in good hands.

By feeling into your somatic sludge, you will relearn how to feel safe in your body.
You cannot think yourself into healing. You have to feel your way through it, which is hard. Very, very hard. But so very, very worth it.
Most people who get injured have a decline in health because they stop moving and focus on the negative.
They stay in the pain, in the fear of the pain, and in the restriction of movement.
To heal from an injury, you have to reintroduce safe movement, and to heal somatic sludge, you have to move through the pain that constriction and injury cause.

Your body wants to heal, and you do not have to heal in isolation.
I truly believe that healing needs to be witnessed, firstly by yourself and then by others.
You need to be held energetically as you expand your awareness into the unconscious patterns.
